I love ice cream. Maybe not as much as donuts, but I love ice cream. I've been making it for years now. I even had an ice cream label called Little Cup Ice Cream and supplied it to restaurants. My husband recently brought home some Fiddyment Farms Pistachio Paste and I had no idea what to do with it. He had a genius idea. "Make pistachio ice cream!". He's full of great ideas. That's why I married him. I digress.
Back to the recipe. I use the Cuisinart ice cream maker which comes with a freezer bowl. Make sure the bowl is frozen (overnight) and ready to go. The recipe is eggless which makes it that much easier to make.
Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups of half and half (do NOT buy the fat free kind)
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 ounces of Fiddyment Farms Pistachio Paste
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients in a blender for about 5 seconds until it's all blended together. Pour into the frozen ice cream bowl and churn away for 20 minutes. It makes up to 2-2.5 pints.
